The Browns will play one of their home games in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London next season.
They were informed by the NFL they will be one of three AFC teams designated to play in London. The others are the New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jets also will play in Hotspur Stadium. The Jaguars will play in Wembley Stadium.
“We’re thrilled to be named a designated team for the 2025 NFL London Games, making our second international trip as a club and our first time playing at the incredible Tottenham Hotspur Stadium,” said Haslam Sports Group COO David Jenkins. “We look forward to playing in front of our fans in the U.K. this upcoming season and to help continue to grow both the Browns and the NFL’s global popularity.”
The Browns last played in London in 2017 – their winless season. They lost to the Minnesota Vikings, 33-16, in Twickenham Stadium.
This will be their first game in Hotspur Stadium, which was built in 2019 to host the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club of the English Premier League and American football games.
Date, time and opponent of the Browns’ game will be announced by the NFL at a later date.
The opponent will come from their home schedule, which includes the Bills, Dolphins, Packers, Titans, Vikings and 49ers, besides their AFC North opponents.
The NFL continues to expand its International Series. This year, up to eight games will be scheduled in different countries.
Besides the three games in London, the NFL will have regular-season games this year in Madrid, Spain and Berlin, Germany at the Olympic Stadium. Commissioner Roger Goodell previously has indicated games could also be staged in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Dublin, Ireland, and Mexico City, Mexico.
