Hey Tony: In your opinion if offered at some point, do you think Mike Vrabel would be more interested in the Browns job if open or the Ohio State job?

-- Richard, Cleveland, OH

Hey Richard: So would Vrabel try to duplicate what Jim Harbaugh did at Michigan, his alma mater? My hunch is that Vrabel would be more interested in pursuing an NFL job other than the Browns. Otherwise, Vrabel would have joined his friend Luke Fickel in a consultant role at Wisconsin this year, which was offered him. It would not surprise me, however, if Vrabel plays the courtship game with OSU, if it comes to that, to improve his leverage, and ultimately opts out.

Hey Tony: If the Browns don’t draft a QB, would they take a downfield deep threat receiver?

-- Ryan, Fremont, OH

Hey Ryan: How about just the best available receiver to go with Jerry Jeudy and Cedric Tillman? That would be a decent start to a revamped receivers room.

Hey Tony: Why has Andrew Berry stuck with Deshaun Watson? Is it the money or the inability to cut losses?

-- Josh, Lima, OH

Hey Josh: Most likely it’s a decision made above him.

Hey Tony: When was the last time the Browns won a game in Denver and who was the quarterback?

-- Mike, Smithville, OH

Hey Mike: The Browns won in Denver in 2018, 17-16, with rookie QB Baker Mayfield at the helm. His counterpart with the Broncos was Case Keenum.

Hey Tony: How often would you surmise Kevin Stefanski meets/speaks (at length), with the Haslams during the 17-week season?

-- Mark, Boston, MA

Hey Mark: I’m going to say 2 to 3 times a week.

Hey Tony: What is more important, winning games to keep a positive culture or a high draft pick to possibly land a franchise QB?

-- Paul, Louisville, OH

Hey Paul: If there were a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow – i.e. a legit franchise quarterback hopeful – I could argue to go for the highest draft pick. But that is not the case this year, so I would say it’s more important for the Browns to win as many games as possible and let the chips fall where they may.

Hey Tony: Can Watson still be suspended by NFL while on injured reserve or has the NFL stopped looking into the allegation that was settled couple months ago?

-- Larry, Hubbard, OH

Hey Larry: The NFL has a way of tabling these things and hoping they go away. Although the league insisted in various email responses that it was investigating the most recent allegations, it has yet to state whether the investigation is still open or closed.

Hey Tony: Do you know if guardian caps hinder a player on the field? I really thought it was a cool look for JOK when he was healthy.

-- Josh, Galena, OH

Hey Josh: Players have told me that the guardian cap does not hinder play, but it takes some getting used to. Some players find it uncomfortable.

Hey Tony: Does Nick Chubb look slow? Is running back a need in the upcoming draft?

-- John, Tampa, FL

Hey John: Chubb understandably lacks the explosion that he had at his best. Give him a healthy offseason to recover from his 15-month rehab and I’m guessing he’ll look quicker next training camp. I don’t think the Browns consider running back a high draft priority. That could depend on what kind of offense they intend to run next season.

Hey Tony: Of all the available options, including draft picks, who would you want starting for the Browns, next season day one? This includes possible bridge QB’s.

-- George, Bartlett, IL

Hey George: I think a bridge quarterback is in order. But first I want to see Jameis Winston for a couple more games and Dorian Thompson-Robinson for 3+ games. I don’t think there’s a quarterback in this draft I would rush into a starting role as a rookie.
