The Browns claimed a new cornerback and added three new players to their practice squad to join 12 who were with them in camp.

Among the notables added was quarterback P.J. Walker, who won four of seven starts in three seasons with the Carolina Panthers.

Here’s a recap of their roster machinations on Wednesday:

Claimed: Cornerback Kahlef Hailassie awarded via waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs. He was an undrafted rookie free agent and turned in three tackles and one pass defensed in the fourth preseason game against the Browns.

Waived: Cornerback A.J. Green.

Waived Browns signed to practice squad: Cornerback Lorenzo Burns, receiver Jaelon Darden, guard Michaell Dunn, running back Hassan Hall, defensive tackle Trysten Hill, defensive end Sam Kamara, safety Tanner McCalister, tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden, defensive end Lonnie Phelps, linebacker Charlie Thomas, defensive end Isaiah Thomas and receiver Austin Watkins.

New players signed to practice squad: Walker, offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood and kicker Lucas Havrisik.

The moves leave the Browns with one open spot on their practice squad. They’d like to fill it with Green.

Meanwhile, kicker Cade York rejected the Browns’ offer to return to their practice squad. He opted to sign with Tennessee. The Titans traded for veteran kicker Nick Folk on Tuesday.
