Editor's note: Tony Grossi is a Cleveland Browns analyst for TheLandOnDemand.com and 850 ESPN Cleveland.
Hey Tony: Which matchups do you think have the best chance to be on prime time? How many prime-time games do you predict the Browns will have?
-- Brett, Canton, OH
Hey Brett: If the Browns get two games on prime time, the logical match-ups would be Pittsburgh at Cleveland and Cleveland at the New York Giants.
Hey Tony: The Browns seem to have trouble winning the opener like the Buckeyes did against Michigan in the 90’s. Should head coach Kevin Stefanski be like Jim Tressel, Urban Meyer, and Ryan Day with an increased emphasis on winning that particular game?
-- Kelly, Grove City, OH
Hey Kelly: At this point – after going 1-20 in season openers -- I don’t see how anything could hurt.
Hey Tony: Now that there is a new group in charge, and Rashard Higgins is returning, can we get an understanding of why he was in the dog house and benched for most of last year?
-- Steve, Columbus, OH
Hey Steve: It’s complicated, and everybody involved has declined to talk about it. I have my personal opinion. The good news is Higgins has a new lease on his Browns life as a result of the regime change.
Hey Tony: Who do you think? Malik Hooker, Clay Matthews III or Yannick Ngakoue with another Browns FA signing?
-- Big John, North Canton, OH
Hey Big John: I don’t see the Browns making a move on any of them.
Hey Tony: Is the Browns starting right guard on the roster right now? How big a concern is this position?
-- Larry, Jacksonville, FL
Hey Larry: I don’t know why everyone wants to replace Wyatt Teller. I thought he settled in over the last four games. He’s young, strong, and has a lot of room to grow.
Hey Tony: I had a thought about recently released DeShone Kizer. I wonder how his career would have turned out had Cory Coleman not dropped that pass against Pittsburgh? He really could have used a redshirt year. His career is probably over now. Your thoughts?
-- Roger, Bath, OH
Hey Roger: First, I don’t think Kizer’s career was changed by Coleman’s dropped pass, other than he might have a 1-14 career record instead of 0-15. I don’t believe his career is over. Kizer needs a stable situation to reset his career as a backup.
Hey Tony: Aside from Jedrick Wills, which rookie do you think will have the most impact?
-- Bill, Houston, TX
Hey Bill: This is easy. Grant Delpit.
Hey Tony: What’s your opinion of our linebacker group? Any thoughts on picking up a veteran or two for that group?
-- Bev, North Ridgeville, OH
Hey Bev: The linebacker group is filled with inexperienced, young, eager players who can run. I don’t believe the Browns value this position group above the line and the secondary. So they may never invest a big contract in the linebacker group.
Hey Tony: If pressed to pick today, how many linemen make roster and who are they? Curious about Kendall Lamm and Drew Forbes.
-- Nick, Cedarville, OH
Hey Nick: My guess at this point would be Jedrick Wills, Joel Bitonio, JC Tretter, Wyatt Teller and Jack Conklin would be the starters. Top backups would be Lamm, Chris Hubbard and Nick Harris. It’s possible another lineman could be kept. That spot would be wide open.
Hey Tony: Are there any other teams trying with playoff aspirations who have a less experienced LB group than the Browns?
-- Aaron, Fredericktown, OH
Hey Aaron: The Falcons made it to the Super Bowl a few years ago with a similarly inexperienced group of linebackers.
Hey Tony: Do you think the plan is to have Olivier Vernon play some LB and is there any chance that they will add another LB?
-- Mike, San Antonio, TX
Hey Mike: Vernon is the left defensive end and will not play linebacker. The Browns don’t have a game for four months. That’s plenty of time to add another linebacker.
